since there seems to be a slow moving forum here maybe we can speed some things up with notification when new members join. I'm new and I'll be here a while I need a new "I love asian guys forum." My bf is Japanese american and I wouldn't trade him for harem of other hot asian guys but for some reason just can't put the forums down. *shrugs* I guess if he asked I would...He and I live together in NJ so he's pretty safe. i'm getting a little tired and frustrated with asian men.
For one, not enough of them are open. They usually only date asian women exclusively.
The ones who are open to interracial dating date white women and white women only. They don't see anyone else.
Even the ones who holler "Oh, I like all women! I don't discriminate!" Have only been with mostly white or asian women.
OH YEAH, THAT'S SURE IS LIKING ALL WOMEN, BUDDY! *sarcasm*
I guess me being a dark skinned black woman means I'm not an option.
I didn't know I had to be white or a light skinned/mixed black female in order to get their attention.

Secondly, so many of them are not confident. They blame all their problems on the media and society.
Asian guy: oh, I want a white girl so bad!! If I get one I'll feel so much more like a man and less inferior than the american man!! Especially if she has blonde hair and blue eyes or is from europe! it'll be a total SCORE!!!
me: *rolls eyes and stabs the asian guy*
Its SO annoying. Grow some balls and you won't have to worry about why you can't get girls!
Plus, some of the MAIN men who complain about being eliminated by american women will do the exact same thing if a black woman wants to be with them -- eliminate her. This hasn't happened to me, but I know many other black women who have experienced this.
Anyway, that's just how I feel. Sorry.

My whole fascination with asian men is new.
I am 21 years old and just crazy about asian guys.

It all started a little under a year ago when I was on youtube and saw a profile icon for a gorgeous asian boy. I thought he was adorable and in the picture he was wearing a kamikazi headband which I recognized as Japanese, and since I have always been interested in Japanese culture I clicked on his picture and messaged him. Six months later he moved halfway across the US to live with me and he is now my boyfriend. We are so happy and I just can't believe how gorgeous he is.

I have discovered the amazingness of the asian male. I am hooked. The reason I had never really thought much about asian guys is because all throughought elementary school, jr. high and highschool I only knew one asian guy. I lived in a small town in Oklahoma that is mostly white. When I went to college, I went to the college in Oklahoma with the highest number of asian students, but I din't think any asian guys lived in my dorm, and most of the ones I came into contact with were actually from Japan and barely spoke English.

Anyway, so now I am just in love with all asian guys but it's kind of a bittersweet thing, I am really wanting to get to know some aasian guys but the sad part is- I'm dating the previously mentioned japanese guy, and can't really date around or flirt because of it.
I'm happy though, he is the greatest guy I have ever dated, cares or me like no other, is extremely hot (to me at least) and is an amazing lover.

I have been dating a man for just over 6 weeks. He is half Japanese and half caucasion. He lives with his mother, who is full blooded Japanese. His mother moved to the US with his father, who was military, back in the 40's. They had him very late in life. My man is extremely shy and very socially phobic. He doesn't like to go to any place where there are a lot of people. But he's just as sweet as he can be. I can honestly say that I have never been treated better than he treats me. There are just a few things that bother me. First is he keeps a handgun in his car, that he says is for protection. He does live in a rough part of the neighborhood. Also, he is very secretive, and I have never met his friends. He has a large circle of lifelong friends that he maintains frequent contact with. He receives and sends a lot of text messages when he is with me. My question is: Is it typical of Asian men to be socially phobic, carry weapons, be secretive, and slow to introduce his girlfriend to his friends? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

The coolest thing just happened. An older couple came in my office to apply for a loan, I'd say he was in his late 50's and she looked late 40's. He was Japanese and she looked like me, white skin and blue eyes with blonde hair.

It made me smile, I was glad to think that interracial couples their age could be successful at a relationship. She said they had three children, and they were doing a remodel on the home to make space for them all. :) They seemed really happy, which made me happy. Long story...

A couple of years ago, I met this older Asian woman in my carpool. She was very attractive, 6 years older, married, with a teenage son. I had seen her before and was very attracted to her - she could have been a Hong Kong starlet 10 years ago or model. We got along really well, she started asking for rides home from work, we started meeting for lunch, and the flirtation turned physical. First hand holding, me placing my hand on her thigh as we drove in to work, some kissing, breast fondling. But no penetration, no sex.

One day, I got a little aggressive in the car with her and apologized the next day for my behavior. She replied it was OK and I said, "Good, then I know I can be a little more forward next time." She was completely offended by my response. She did not respond to my calls, did not respond to my e-mails, walked away when I tried to sit next to her on the bus.

I was pretty heartbroken by this. I felt like it was just a joking response and I did not do anything that she asked me not to do. It took me a long time to get over her and finally, I came to the conclusion that she was feeling lonely. She was getting to that age when things were probably pretty boring in the bedroom, she needed attention, and she wanted a younger man to make her feel attractive and wanted. I could understand that and would have appreciated her telling me so before I got all worked up and horny.

Recently, we started bumping into each other in the carpool again. We started talking, a little flirting. She sent me an e-mail that said, "You're sweet..." and I responded, "Yeah, like dark chocolate. Rich, smooth, smokey, with a hint of bitterness. You would have known if you had taken a bite..." In her next e-mail, she replied "I wish I had..." She later tried to retract this response, saying that she hit the send button too soon.

So here's my dilemma: should I try to screw this woman over like she did me? Should I totally play her and drop her like a rock. I'm not a bad guy but I see this happening all over again. I was bored and searching the tribe listings and I found one that almost made me cry! It certainly made me think. I have nothing against homosexuality... I myself and very Bi and LOTS of my friends are gay but.. *sniffle* I found a gay Asian tribe that was not listed as such. While I was looking at, ok drooling over, one of the most beautiful men I'd ever seen I looked through his tribes and yes... my suspicions were correct, he's gay. *sniffle* That made me sad, 1 less man to flirt with. ;)

But it made me really thing about the dating world. Are any of you aware of how many gay Asian men there are out in the world? I had no clue! Not that I'm niave, I think I'm shocked about how many of them are out of the closet actually. Talk about taboo... it really put things into perspective for me though. I know how difficult it is for the Asian men I date to introduce ME, a white girl, to their parents. It's hard on us girls too BTW. I'm sure many of you have had difficulties with the same thing. But think of this... how much more difficult would it be to introduce the white GUY you are dating to your parents? In this light, I think we have it easy... my heart goes out to them.

Ok, weirdest thing happened to me at Burbank IKEA a few weeks ago. There I was, just browsing around and trying to fulfill my life with crappy furniture (Fight Club?) Then I walk into the Twilight Light Zone where I was in an area with 6 couples and no one else. They are all white guy with Asian chick and all have that Gap, Banana Rep look. There were more of them at the check out lines. It was really weird.

I mean there’s nothing wrong with interracial dating. Many of my friends are such couples, my sister married a white guy and they are very happy together. But lately, white guy with Asian chick thing is outta control, they are everywhere…at least in LA. But you rarely see Asian guy with white chick. Why is that?

Anyway, to balance the ying yang. I’m going to date exclusively non-Asian chicks from now on. Who’s with me?

My clarinet player and I were people watching last night on Columbus, and I jaw nearly dropped to the floor.

A similarly built Asian guy walked down the street with a real hot Caucasian girl. I swear, all the greasy Italian cafe owners and everyone else turned their head.

My jaw just dropped.

Then I discussed this with Craig (my clarinettist), and he agreed that even in SF, it's much more common to see the WM/AF coupling. Usually a geeky out-of-shape white male with a hot Asian girl.

Now here's where I entered the Twilight Zone:

Less than 3 minutes elapse when it happens again!!!

Another Caucasian hottie walks by with her Asian guy (who looked similar to me). She even looked over and smiled. I was like, where were you when I was going to high school and all the Asian girls ignored me in favor of white companionship.

I was much more successful dating Latina girls or girls not born in AM-hating-America, (e.g. European girls of any ethnicity seem to allow themselves to be attracted to me)

Well anyway, this observation continues throughout the night and by the time we're done playing at Calzone's it's like the powers-that-be in Hollywood trying to keep the Asian male down, including Bruce Lee, never existed.

Later on that night, a beautiful Persian friend of mine who I used to lust after recognized me playing and stopped by to say hi. She told me that a friend of hers who cheered me on at my band's first SF show thought that I was hot but because I never contacted her she figured I wasn't interested and ended up getting engaged.

Anyways back to the multiple observations of WF/AM pairings last night:

Surreal. Weird. The thing is, this sort of thing isn't surreal or weird in Europe. The problem must lie within American culture and the leftover resentment from three wars in Asia in the last century.

The hate is still there, but it's cool that you girls are able to see through the bullshit.

So like many of the girls in the tribe, I had a love jones for many of my Asian high school friends. There was no taboo in my family as my folks are Peruvian and there's A LOT of Latina/Asian man marriages there. In fact, my mom's bf prior to my pops was Japanese. LOL So she has actually encouraged me to date Asian men.
